Here’s the story. I needed me some chairs about as bad as p daddy needed him some shoes. When we bought our kitchen table I bought seven chairs to go with it. My thinking at the time was six chairs for the family plus one extra. Well, little did I know that I would one day need ten chairs. If you had told me at the time I would be needin‘ ten chairs I would have passed out or laughed hysterically.
The time has now come that I need me some chairs because I have over the last year had to use metal chairs around my table. Gasp! I know definitely a decorator’s nightmare. Not being able to find chairs that matched my original purchase I decided I would go for a different color chair and try and make it work. My kitchen has black counter tops, so a black chair was the obvious choice.
As we entered IKEA, I had a mission: Find and purchase black chairs before p daddy changes his mind about buying them. Once the mission was accomplished, we arrived safely home at a late hour, so there would be no chair assembling that night. The next morning p daddy had to work his side job and mow three yards, one for each chair.
I felt bad for p daddy, so I decided to help by putting the new chairs together. (sidenote at IKEA you must assemble your purchases.)
I was quite proud of myself when I finished the job and p daddy was ecstatic that those chairs weren’t still on his honey do list when he got home.

Thats Awesome! Good job!
So, who gets to sit in the new ones?
Here’s something else we have in common: love of IKEA.
Our table holds 8, so our 3-year-old is in the high chair indefinitely (our oldest is already gone).
