This morning I met with Amy, Angela and Dorilee for breakfast. All of our husbands are at this moment on the continent of Africa.
Preacher daddy left Monday with several other pastors from our area to survey the need for mission work in Burkina Faso. I have not heard from p daddy in two days, but I can tell you from what is happening on the home front I am sure God is building a vision within these men. With twenty years of experience as a pastor’s wife when God is allowing preacher daddy to join Him in Kingdom work, especially taking the gospel to those who have never heard before; things on the home front tend to be a little crazier than normal.
.
While in Burkina, they were able to visit a compassion international site. Today they are in a very remote area of the country. P daddy and the pastors with him are the first white people these natives have ever seen.
Tonight the guys will be sleeping out under the stars, along with all the other creatures not sleeping under the stars, like pythons and lions. I think I will not be sleeping tonight, but praying instead.
Because I need to relate to preacher daddy’s roughing it experience, God has allowed my dryer to be unusable. Therefore, tomorrow I will be stringing a clothesline in my backyard. I think I will put a basket on my head which will hold my clothes pins. I can also strap the baby in a sling around my body while hanging the clothes to help enhance the whole experience. Perhaps God will grant me favor and not allow the washer to go out; I really don’t want to walk to the lake and wash my clothes.
Actually, my dear friend that lives around the corner has offered me the use of her dryer. I love my neighbors.
I am also very grateful God has blessed me with the conveniences I have here in the United States of America. I cannot image living the lives that many in this world suffer through each day.

I told you, I think it is a rule that appliances go “On the Blink” when husbands leave the country!! Frank went to Honduras in August and I had Hot Water Heater Issues!!! Hang in there!!! Love PAM
Wow. I would love to read more about their trip! So.. which did you do? Clothesline or friend?
Hey Cindy you can read more from my husband’s blog. It is linked up on the side. From there you can follow links to the other pastors on the trip. I believe each of them is blogging from Burkina Faso.
and the neighbor’s dryer was such the better option.
I just wasn’t feeling that pioneer spirit today.
